Q. How do I order a book from another Library?
Ohiolink is a consortium of all the Academic Libraries within the state. Items usually arrive in 3 - 5 days, and this is the first option that should be used when searching for a book outside our system.
SearchOhio is the Public Library companion to Ohiolink. This option can be used if Ohiolink does not have the item you need. These also take about 3 - 5 days to arrive.
InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is the 3rd option that can be used to request an item if Ohiolink and SearchOhio have proven ineffective. This is a process through which we reach out to other Libraries outside the state to make these requests. We will do our best to acquire items requested. You will be notified if there is a problem with the order, and shipping times will vary.
